I've been singing since I was 6 but I didn't have the means to study music. Therefore, I focused on what I thought I could do best: learning. I got my PhD in migration studies in 2023 and now I teach critical social theories. After years spent building an academic career (stability is still very far by the way), the sudden and unexpected passing of my father reignited in me the need to express myself through music. You will find political themes in it, of course, but also a lot of personal references to the life of a 30-year old woman coming from the south of Italy and ending up moving a lot, including to Africa. This diversity is reflected in the genres I play: from reggae and acoustic rock to the 'canzone italiana' and folk.
