Mona Mio

Biographie

Mona Mio is an independent Brussels-based singer-songwriter blending soul, jazz, pop and rock. Her voice — both broken and powerful — carries intimate narratives of social anxiety, ADHD, addiction, grief and feminism, set against luminous grooves, brass textures and gospel harmonies, creating a striking chiaroscuro.

Her universe bridges RAYE’s jazz-rooted writing, Selah Sue’s groove-driven sensibility and Queen’s expansive energy, shaping a sound both vulnerable and bold.

Her EP Into the Light (2026) traces a passage from self-destruction to reconstruction through three chapters — Focus, Can’t Be True and Upset — revealing an inner dialogue shaped by mental overload, loss and reclaimed control.

Supported by 400+ playlists and Belgian radio airplay (Nostalgie, BX1, Maximum FM, Brussels Airlines), Mona Mio has performed at Fête de la Musique 2025, Museum Night Fever (KBR) and Botanique, with upcoming shows including Sofar Paris and a release show in Brussels on June 11, 2026.

On stage, she delivers an intense, embodied performance where fragility meets power.
