Biographie
Laucean is an independent Belgian artist and a progressive melodic metal project based in Tournai, blending progressive melodic metal, shoegaze and post-metal, with lyrics written entirely in French.
On 17 April 2026, he released his new EP ‘Jusqu’à ton dernier souffle’, a powerful and immersive album that explores ocean conservation, animal protection and the fight for a more conscious and compassionate world.
His debut album, “Ces êtres oubliés” (31 August 2025), revealed his unique musical universe through tracks such as “Le chant de la sirène”, “Adieu” and “L’Oiseau Libre”.
Drawing inspiration from melodic, world and ambient music, Laucean creates songs that explore themes of marine life, the environmental crisis, grief and the deep connection between humanity and nature.
His music blends gentleness and intensity, transforming each track into a powerful emotional journey.
Originally a pianist, Laucean has evolved into a multi-instrumentalist and singer, creating immersive soundscapes that oscillate between ethereal atmospheres and powerful riffs.
Although it began as a solo studio project, Laucean also performs with a full band at live shows, offering a dynamic and immersive live experience.
