Lap:n

Biographie

Benoit's passion for music started at a young age, and it's been a driving force in his life ever since. As a teenager, he would create CD mixtapes for his friends, blending classic 80s tracks with the latest popular hits of the early 2000s.

At just 15 years old, Benoit joined NoBalls Records, a group of like-minded music enthusiasts who were determined to bring lesser-known electronic styles to their hometown, Soignies. It was during this time that he honed his skills as a DJ, playing dubstep, drum and bass, electro-house, and more under the Slober moniker.

Although the label eventually disbanded, Benoit's love for music never waned. In 2017, he fulfilled a childhood dream by acquiring some SL1200 vinyl turntables, which inspired him to dive back into the world of mixing and performing. This time, he took on the name Lap:n.

Benoit's taste in music has continued to evolve over the years, and he now finds himself drawn to a wide variety of genres, from old disco, funk, and soul to house, techno, ghetto tech, and trance. This diverse background is reflected in his sets, which are always eclectic and never predictable. Whether he's spinning for a small group of friends or a packed club, Benoit knows how to keep the crowd moving and grooving all night long.
