Gravistyk
Biographie
Meeting point between two musicians, songwriters and producers, a bassist and sound engineer on the one hand, a pianist on the other.
Seb Art influences come from Funk, Groove and Rock, Raphael Laguerre from Jazz and Creole sounds. That's how Gravistyk is born, mixing influences, sonorities and rhythms through Hip Hop, Jazz and electronic music, from J. Dilla, Flying Lotus, Dâm-Funk or Daft Punk.
Both musicians and working on several projects on their own, Seb Art (Kohndo) in Paris and Raphael (Peas Project) in Brussels, still persisted on creating a musical project together and produce their own style.
Their first EP is a real collision of multiple sounds. We can feel the lightness of Jazz music, we can hear the free fall of electro sounds and the landing of fine particles of West Coast Hip Hop.
On stage Gravistyk mixes acoustic instruments with machines to offer an open, happy and contemplative spacetime. The live performance is organised as a DJ set of their own productions while playing their respective instruments.
Harmony is at the center of the project, with a perfect balance. Gravistyk imposes on the Dance floor an eclectic musical constellation.
