Frameb
Biographie
Frameb: a quartet featuring tenor saxophone, piano, double bass, and drums. This project emphasizes live music, enriched by recorded voices and speeches that are seamlessly integrated into the compositions. These voices deepen the exploration of the themes chosen by the group, which, in this case, focus on Climate Change and the ongoing crisis in Palestine.
The original compositions are strongly influenced by improvised music and minimalist elements, both melodically and harmonically. The inclusion of speeches allows the players significant creative freedom, enhanced by frequent solo moments. A cohesive vision of the overall sound takes precedence over individual virtuosity or singularity. Frameb RawOn has gained Artist Membership at Volta, a renowned music center in Molenbeek, Brussels, where the band has the opportunity to rehearse and conduct research as a Member Artist.
