Aytiwan

Biographie

Emerging from behind his previous artist name of Nico P which created the foundations for the next phase of his work, Belgian DJ Producer is spreading his wings under another alter-ego Aytiwan. Concentrating on blending the nuances of Afro House and Afro Tech, there is no greater validation of your output than having Grammy Award winner Black Coffee feature your debut track on his playlist.

In an industry which is dominated by egomania and excess, it is Aytiwan's humility and selfless enjoyment of the art itself which shines above all else. Coming from a nation where festivals like Tomorrowland stand large on the musical landscape, his refreshing take on Afro House is something that has resonated with audiences far and wide.

A passionate fan of acts like Enoo Napa, Kasango, &Lez, Simone Vitullo, and Themba, his performances behind the decks have given him an understanding of what is needed in the studio to take the dancefloor on that fabled journey.
Positive, dynamic and fluid, he takes the energy of his sets and translates it into a musical artform that flows like a powerful waterfall nestled deep in the African jungle.

His stunning debut Ilanga is a case in point. Featuring the sublime vocals of Nes Mburu, the dive into deep melodic Afro House/Afro Tech sound supported by a multi-layered and powerful beat was something to behold. Accompanied by a stellar remix from South African producer Enoo Napa and another by fellow Belgian Producer Klaudius, gave Aytiwan to internationally recognized artists.
That list extends to people such as Magdalena, Wally Lopez, Emanuele Esposito, Nic Fanciulli, Tocadisco, Simone Vitullo, Joris Voorn, Nicole Moudaber, Blond:ish, Themba, Edu Imbernon, Robosonic, Eelke Kleijn, Judge Jules, and Gregor Salto. That level of acceptance has only spurred him on to bigger and better things.

Running his own labels Deep House Belgium and Deep In Your Soul has allowed him to explore his own path, and after hitting #1 on Netherlands iTunes Dance Charts and #5 on Belgium iTunes Dance Chart the industry really began to stand up and take notice. Heavyweight Imprints such as Nite Grooves owned by legendary label King Street Sounds have signed him for a 2023 release with more to come. He has also managed to secure the services of iconic Afro singer Idd Aziz and remixes from top producers Kususa and &Lez for his next release on his own label.

Wishing to let his music speak for itself, his music is a statement of all the finer things that dancefloors desire in their hour of need. Embraced by mesmerizing synths and intoxicating rhythms with vocals that create a transformative experience to places unknown, Aytiwan's music is authentic and original. A step beyond the disposable bombastic fodder offered up by producers who regurgitate the same old samples and familiar hooks, his music shines like a beacon of hope on the underground scene.

Spreading the gospel of dance music by hosting a regular show on National broadcaster RTBF “ Tipik also gives him the opportunity to showcase his work to an ever-growing audience. With his live sets, a whole host of renowned producers having his back and outlets like Beatport supporting his work, the arrival of Aytiwan on the global stage is earmarked for success. Join him in the dance and discover a place where beauty and beats collide.
