Attilio Sepe

Biographie

Attilio Sepe is regarded internationally as an emerging talent on the alto saxophone for his unique sound and his personal approach to composition.
Attilio started his studies with Raffaele Minale and Giulio Martino at the age of seven. Later he continued his studies in classical music at the “Conservatorio Statale di Musica D. Cimarosa” and his studies in jazz music with Antonio Solimene and Maurizio Giammarco. Then he moved to Siena, where he studied for five years, graduating two times in Jazz Saxophone at Siena Jazz University. He studied with great musicians like Giovanni Falzone, Alfonso Santimone, Ettore Fioravanti, Roberto Spadoni, Ralph Alessi, Dan Kinzelman, Ziv Ravirz, Jim Black and Ben Van Gelder.
During his studies at Siena Jazz he worked with Silvia Bolognesi, playing in her quartet, “Silvia Bolognesi Young Shouts” and formed the “Parking Attendants”, a collective of Italian musicians based in Tuscany.
In 2021 Attilio won the award “Premio Giovani Visionari 2021” granted by the “Federazione Nazionale Jazz Italiano”.
“Héritage Normand”, recorded with the great Italian saxophonist Maurizio Giammarco, that was published in 2023 for WoW Records Label and "Spellbound", that was published in 2025 for WoW Records Label are his last records.
